SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

At Woodchester Mill in Gloucestershire, every Lewis & Wood fabric and wallpaper
is designed and printed under one roof.

This allows us to maintain close control over how our products are made and the resources used in the process.
We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations through considered production,
responsible material use, and the ongoing review of our processes.

Production

Traditional fabric printing requires significant water use and can produce excess waste. Our digital printing process uses only the ink required, eliminating surplus and reducing waste. By printing to order, we avoid overproduction and limit unnecessary use of raw materials.

Materials & Waste

We operate a structured recycling system across the Mill, ensuring waste is separated and processed appropriately. Materials are used carefully, with a focus on minimising excess at every stage of production.

Packaging

All our packaging is fully recyclable and largely made from recycled materials, including cardboard, tapes and tubes. Our plastic tubing contains 30% recycled material and can be recycled after use.

Ongoing Review

We regularly review our processes, materials, and suppliers to identify practical improvements and reduce our environmental impact over time.
