We were delighted to partner with the wonderful Amy Kent on a collection of bespoke hand-knotted rugs.

Drawing from the Lewis & Wood archive, Amy chose three of our patterns, Hanbury, Metaxa and Windrush to transform into glorious rugs.

All of Amy’s rugs are hand-knotted in Kathmandu in Nepal by the same skilled craftspeople she has worked with for many years.

HANBURY

Inspired by an 18th century silk design in hand-knotted carved wool. Named after Hanbury Hall in Spitalfields, it draws on the area's Hugenot tradition of silk weaving.

METAXA

The Metaxa rug brings one of our Stitch Prints designs to the floor. Hand-knotted in wool and silk, it was inspired by an antique Greek embroidered cushion cover from the island of Thasos.

WINDRUSH

The Windrush rug transforms May Morris' celebrated Arts & Crafts embroidery into a hand-knotted wool and silk rug, preserving the beauty of the original wildflower design.
